Die ESA veröffentlichte eine Ausschreibung für den Bau eines analogen Mondhabitats im Europäischen Astronautenzentrum (EAC) in Köln. Das Mondhabitat soll das existierende Trainingszentrum – eine Halle, die eine Mondlandschaft simuliert, ergänzen. Eine große Herausforderung bestand darin, das Budget von 180.000 Euro einzuhalten, und trotzdem eine zukunftsorientierte Lösung zu entwickeln.

Space-craft Architektur hat in Zusammenarbeit mit Pneumocell und Lazzero Technologie/Mission Design einen Entwurf eingereicht, der das Ziel verfolgt, ein flexibles und anpassungsfähiges Habitat zu schaffen, das möglichst viele Missionen simulieren und unterstützen kann.

The European Space Agency (ESA) issued a call for proposals for the construction of an analog Moon habitat at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne. The habitat is intended to complement the existing training facility – a hall that simulates a lunar landscape. One of the major challenges was to stay within the budget of €180,000 while still developing a forward-looking solution.

Space-craft Architektur, in collaboration with Pneumocell and Lazzero Technologie/Mission Design, submitted a design aimed at creating a flexible and adaptable habitat capable of simulating and supporting as many mission scenarios as possible.
